Employee Tossing Salad

We are a family-owned food service company serving Chicagoland since 1969

We take pride in our innovative approach to solving problems. Our friendly staff and management team have a wealth of experience under their belt. When it comes to orchestrating the complexities of delivering your food on time and under budget, you can count on us. We’ve worked with numerous satisfied clients over the years, including Public Schools, the City of Chicago, Meals On Wheels Chicago, and the Arch Diocese of Chicago.

In addition to growing our business, we also strive to reduce our impact. Over the past few years, we’ve established composting and recycling programs, and we’ve received a grant to install solar panels on the roof of our commissary to offset energy costs. Reducing waste and improving efficiency just makes sense—it’s good for us, it’s good for our clients, and it’s good for the planet.

Meet the CEO

Teri Fiore is the President and CEO of Open Kitchens.

Ms. Fiore received her business degree from Bryant & Stratton College in 1971 and then joined Trans Union Corporation where she worked closely with the Corporate President for over 3 years. Ms. Fiore then worked for Hertz Corporation as a Sales Manager for 5 years.

Ms. Fiore decided to stay home to raise her family for the next 10 years. During this time Ms. Fiore had a strong desire to own her own business in the food service industry. This lead to her acquisition of Open Kitchens in 1988.

Ms. Fiore has directed all of the activities of Open Kitchens since 1988. Open Kitchens has grown significantly over the past 30+ years and is still owned and operated by Teri along with her son Anthony.
